Joanna completed her PhD in 2023, at Monash University (Department of Respiratory Research@Alfred) under the supervision of Prof. Anne Holland and Dr. Gabriella Tikellis.
Her project aimed to better understand the needs and expectations of self-management in people with pulmonary fibrosis, and using the study findings, to develop and test the feasibility of a patient education package in self-management.
This pulmonary fibrosis self-management package has been integrated with a self-management app and is currently being tested in a larger national trial.
