People with lived experience of pulmonary fibrosis are at the centre of everything the CRE-PF does.
The CRE-PF knows that involving consumers in PF research:
- Ensures that issues important to consumers are identified and prioritised
- Supports the sharing of research findings
- Helps to translate research into clinical practice and health service delivery
- Protects against money and resources being wasted on research that has little or no benefit or impact for people living with PF
There are a range of ways you can get involved in pulmonary fibrosis research, including:
- Participating in a research study
- Becoming part of a clinical trial
- Sharing your experience living with pulmonary fibrosis and views on matters relating to research projects or proposals
- Volunteering for a committee
