Drug-Induced ILD – New Resource

Posted on: Thursday 4th December 2025

We have just added a new fact sheet on drug-induced interstitial lung disease (ILD) to the CRE-PF Patient Resource Library.

While most medications or ‘drugs’ are safe, certain medications can be harmful to your lungs. Drug-induced ILD is a group of lung conditions that develop after exposure to certain medications and are characterised by damage or scarring to your lungs.

The fact sheet include information on:

  • the causes of drug-induced ILD
  • the symptoms of drug-induced ILD
  • how drug induced ILD is diagnosed
  • treatment for drug-induced ILD
  • maintaining health and wellbeing with drug-induced ILD.

Thanks to Lung Foundation Australia and the CRE-PF TEDS Committee for their hard work putting this resource together.
