While air pollution affects everyone’s long-term health, some groups are at higher risk.
People with lung or heart conditions, older adults, children, infants, pregnant people, and people at social or economic disadvantage; these groups tend to experience the most serious health consequences from poor air quality.
In this webinar we will hear from three researchers working to improve outcomes for at-risk groups.
- Associate Professor Supriya Mathew (Menzies School of Health Research) will speak about air quality in remote communities
- Dr Erin Walsh (ANU) will speak about the information needs of young Australians aged 15–19
- Sophie Iles (University of Queensland) will speak about firefighter health protective strategies
