Webinar: Winter Air - Centre of Research Excellence in Pulmonary Fibrosis

As temperatures drop, many households turn to wood heaters and indoor gas appliances for warmth. This webinar by the Centre for Safe Air will explore how wood heater smoke and indoor gas combustion contribute to poor air quality, exacerbating respiratory conditions, cardiovascular disease, and other health issues, especially among vulnerable populations.

The webinar will feature presentations from:

Professor Fay Johnston, Head of the Centre and environmental health researcher at the University of Tasmania’s Menzies Institute for Medical Research
Dr Ben Ewald, GP, epidemiologist, and Conjoint Senior Lecturer at the University of Newcastle’s School of Medicine and Public Health.

The webinar will be facilitated by Dr Sabrina Idrose, Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Safe Air and the University of Melbourne.
