Posted on: Thursday 18th September 2025

During Pulmonary Fibrosis Awareness Month, Director of Interstitial Lung Disease at The Austin Hospital in Melbourne, Associate Professor Nicole Goh participated in a HealthEd lecture on the incidental chest findings as a result of the National Lung Cancer Screening Program.

In the lecture A/Prof Goh discusses the current state of play of the screening program and the likelihood of detecting non-lung cancer abnormalities. Importantly, she also presents the recommended management of the different incidental findings in the lung or in the surrounding organs or tissues – whether to leave them, monitor them or treat them.
