New Publication: Characterising Patient Pathways Prior to the Diagnosis of Interstitial Lung Disease

Congratulations to CRE-PF researcher Caitlin Fermoyle and team on the recent publication of Characterising Patient Pathways Prior to the Diagnosis of Interstitial Lung Disease, which was just published in Respirology.

The research shows that gradual onset of non-specific symptoms over 10 years, coupled with referrals to other specialities and misdiagnoses, delays ILD diagnosis.

According to the work, improving awareness of ILD among primary care practitioners may shorten the time to diagnosis and expedite access to treatments.
