Emma is a Clinical Nurse Specialist at the John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle, with 14 years’ experience in Respiratory Medicine.
Emma began working on the Respiratory inpatient ward, before moving into Respiratory Ambulatory Care. Her key responsibilities include the coordination of; Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) Clinic, Severe Asthma service and Biologic Drug Administration Clinics and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. She provides inpatient and outpatient airway disease assessment and education for patients, carers and clinical staff.
In addition to coordinating ILD clinics, Emma’s practice includes supporting patients on anti-fibrotic and immunosuppressant therapies, ILD Lung transplant workups, care coordination, and participation in the Hunter New England Local Health District (HNELHD) MDT.
