About

I have just retired following a career in corporate restructuring and insolvency during which I lived and worked in six countries, spending almost 25 years overseas. Originally from Melbourne, my wife Robyn and I moved to Perth four years ago to be closer to family.

Robyn has advanced COPD and I have been her full-time carer since we moved to Perth. I am a Carer Representative with Carers WA and sit as a consumer advocate on several committees in the health sector. I try to maintain an active life and enjoy riding my bike along the beautiful WA coast.

I was diagnosed with IPF in late 2023 which I found very confronting. In mid-2024 I started a clinical trial.  I soon learned of the substantial work being done by dedicated medical research professionals at CRE-PF and other institutions in Australia which provide hope for those of us living the journey of life with IPF. I am grateful to have been invited to join the CAG and hope it will give me an opportunity to contribute in some small way to the important work our researchers are undertaking.
