Stefan is an Interstitial Lung Diseases (ILD) consultant physician currently working in Exeter, UK. He is originally from Romania, where he completed his Respiratory Medicine training. His research career started in 2020, working in early phase respiratory trials and completing his doctorate at the University of Manchester, focusing on post COVID-19 ILD.
He has a special interest in familial ILD and is working on establishing dedicated familial clinics, registries and multidisciplinary meetings. He is contributing to international research and educational projects tackling unmet need in familial and rare ILDs.
