About

Cheng is a post-doctoral research associate at the University of Sydney. Cheng completed her PhD at ETH Zürich in Switzerland where she mapped antimicrobial resistance in animals raised for food using geospatial models, and predicted COVID-19 hospitalization using disease dynamics models during the pandemic.

She is now working with Associate Professor Luke Knibbs and Professor Tamera Corte to explore the interplay of factors contributing to interstitial lung diseases.

Cheng is passionate about spatial epidemiology and its potential to uncover insights into the complex interplay between environmental, social, and genetic factors influencing disease patterns. Through investigating geographical factors and their interaction with genetic predispositions, Cheng aims to contribute to targeted interventions of interstitial lung diseases.
