Β Dr Kelly Short is a Postdoctoral Research Scientist working under the supervision of Associate Professor Cecilia PrΓͺle. She is employed through Murdoch University and is based within the Institute of Respiratory Health.
Dr Short completed her PhD in 2020 at Monash University under the supervision of Professor Timothy Cole, where her research focused on steroid regulation of lung remodelling during late-stage lung development.
Her current research investigates the role of the immune system in the pathogenesis of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF), with a particular focus on B cells and autoimmunity.
