About
Dr Maike Stentenbach is a postdoctoral research scientist under the supervision of Prof Yuben Moodley within the Centre for Respiratory Health at the University of Western Australia.
She completed her PhD in November 2023 in the field of mitochondrial biology and medicine with a thesis addressing mitochondrial dysfunction in cardiovascular disease and cancer and has a strong background in molecular and cell biology.
Her current research focuses on investigating the effects of organelle dysfunction, in particular mitochondria, in lung disease pathologies.
