Congratulations to CRE-PF Chief Investigator, Professor Tamera Corte, who has just won the American Thoracic Society (ATS) Assembly on Clinical Problems International Member Award.

This prestigious award is given to an international ATS member who has made outstanding contributions in relation to research, mentorship or education in topics relevant to the clinical problems assembly.

In addition to leading the CRE-PF Prof Corte is a Consultant Respiratory Physician and Director of Interstitial Lung Disease in the Department of Respiratory Medicine at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, and Clinical Professor at the University of Sydney.

Prof Corte’s work focuses on understanding the complexities of pulmonary fibrosis to improve and extend the lives of people living with pulmonary fibrosis. Another important aspect of her work is mentoring the next generation of clinicians and researchers to ready them for independent careers and to help them become leaders in their own right.
