A key component of the CREATE Program is to support CREATE Fellows to travel for professional development purposes. Travel may include presenting at a conference, visits to a mentor’s research centre or for training/ short-term work in laboratories.
The CREATE Program offers travel grants to CREATE Fellows, twice per year in August and February, subject to the availability of funding.Â
Funding to support trainees to attend and present at a conference will be considered based on individual circumstances and funds available. Preference for travel grant funding will be given to CREATE Fellows dependent on a PhD scholarship or a part-time salary.
Please note: As the CRE-PF is already providing dedicated financial support to eligible EMCRs to attend ICLAF 2026, CREATE Travel Grants are not available for ICLAF-related travel. Instead, these grants are intended to support attendance at other conferences, workshops, training opportunities, or research visits that contribute to the career development of CREATE Fellows.
